As final thoughts about what i learned during this BA 180.1 course. Of all the things that sir Pabellon open my eyes to, help me understand and comprehend, there is nothing i value more than the ability to appreciate what technology has done for me, my lifestyle and my studies. i learned through the sir, what i truly get from IT, how it helps molds and forms my everyday life and action to an easier, more relaxed agenda. for this all, thank you technology, thank you BA 180.1, and most of all thank you sir. hope you read this.

Ba 180. 1 Mar. 13, 2010

Last meeting, i was not able to attend the whole class because i had a marketing pitch in the other room. So, i will just talk about that. the said marketing pitch was the culminating project of a whole semester BA 170 course. I am outstanded to say that our project and report would not have been able to come to life without the help of today's new technologies. Without the communication aid of e-mail, IM and yahoogroups and the collaboration support of googledocs we would not have been able to work so seamlessly and so refined. without the aid of these technologies our synergy would have been cut in half. In addition the help of powerpoint, photoshop, and other softwares we were able to make our report as exciting interesting and informative as it was. so, thank you new technologies, i owe a 1.75.

Ba 180. 1 Mar. 6, 2010

Enterprise applications, an interesting topic for sure. as a 3rd yr. Business Economic major i have seen first hand how tedious and labor intensive the work of a business manager or accountant is. Looking, computing and making copies of financial data are menial tasks that must be done if a company is to function properly. To gain the ability to automatically record transactions and business operations and compute relevant information about them as they happen in real time is God given gift. And now because of enterprise applications like ERP, SCM, and others, not only can firms do this, they can even integrate these softwares so that all information gathered by all departments can be accessed by all employees. But on a downside to this, is that installation of these are immensely expensive. Thankfully due to cloud computing small firms can now access these through just through a browser. Tapping the server capabilities and softwares of other firms which offers them for lower costs. thank you sir, for another enlightening lecture and see you next week.

BA 180.1 - Feb 13, 2010

Flowcharting, a Skill worth mastering or at least be proficient at. It simplifies all complex processes in to a readable, easy to understand diagrams. Showing them at a step by step basis, so the user know exactly what to do at each point in time. its perfect for company's who needs procedures and as a standard for its operations. Through flowcharting, Company's can disseminate information easily to its employees on what to do on any circumstance, either it be regular operations, or an emergency action. Luckily, there are softwares either online or installed in your own PC that can help you in the process of flowcharting. This is the bulk of what i learned in my last class.

Ba 180. 1 Feb 6, 2010

Through the course of our 3 hrs saturday class i was enlightened about the history, uses and characteristics of Web2.0, social networking and social media. How a system whose primary design was just to disseminate data (files & games) became a versatile medium that can be use to rekindle old friends, improve promotions and ads of a brand and distribute relevant news to anyone who needs it, was a fascinating topic. Including the ethical issues on how to use it, how it could do inreparable harm to those who use or its subject was a welcomed added bonus. so thank you, Sir and Grp 5
